Unlike traditional roguelikes, where players are the hero, Random Access Mayhem casts you as a rogue AI with no permanent body. The game’s early access run, which began in November 2024, already included six playable bots, procedural stages, daily challenges, and a minigame hub. The 1.0 launch on September 15, 2025, adds:
